However, what was posted, wasn’t the usual account promotion baloney, or following random people.
Someone posted a dead link, (aka it lead to nowhereland, until a Larry fan unfortunately redirected it to something that went a little too far! ) and more importantly, quoted an adorable comparison of pictures of Louis Tomlinson drinking coffee.
WHAT CAN THIS MEAN? IS THIS PURE TROLLING, OR POTENTIALLY SOMETHING MORE! Hackers aren’t known to post this type of thing!
I’m going to admit that I’m a person in the 1D fandom that believes in Larry, aka the romantic paring of Louis and Harry. (I don’t force it upon them though! Whether real, or not, I’m respectful, although, C,MON, THEY HAVE MATCHING TATTOOS!)

But, things actually aren’t that bright at all in the world of Queen Demi. 😦
You see, sometimes people on the internet, whether intentional (haters), or not (trolls), happen to take their comments too far. Far enough to hit a breaking point when combined with misinterpretive media coverage and someone who might already feel depressed and bad about herself. (Demi being bipolar should be considered here. Should be considered when discussing/critiquing any of her words or actions (Usually words are the “issue” though).
I’ll skim this over, but there was a bit of an issue last Friday (and another slightly smaller one Thursday), that delt with her dealing with assholes on the internet that may have lead up to the recent news. Essentially, Demi liked a drawing of herself on Instagram, calling it “gorgeous” but critiquing the proportions of the drawing, calling it “not my body” due to a smaller waist and bigger boobs.
It seemed like the did intentionally change her body, and I get how an artist may accidentally draw some proportions wrong, but that can’t be the best way of accepting criticism, especially when it makes her doubt herself like that! 😦 It’s really heartbreaking to see her saying those things and feeling that low.
To make matters worse, a chunk of the internet seemed to think Demi’s comments were negatively intended, and harsh things were posted, including a rude version of the drawing with even larger boobs, seen and liked by both the original artist, and Demi herself.
Fast forward to Monday, the release of Demi’s Glamour issue (or at least discussion of it because I can’t pinpoint its exact release date. The article was on the site on Tuesday (10/4). Entertainment Tonight did a segment about it, and pulled some article quotes.In particular, Demi was asked about feminism which included a reference to Taylor Swift. ET used the quote “I don’t see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body,” implying that Demi was dissing Taylor’s “squad” of models and fellow singers. Initially hearing about this, I got annoyed with her. (I may stan her, but I’m no kiss-ass that agrees with EVERYTHING out of her mouth!) I’m sure I’m sadly in the minority, but as a huge fan of both Demi and Taylor, this feud is a sore spot for me.

GLAMOUR: And you’ve said before, in regard to Taylor Swift, “Don’t brand yourself a feminist if you don’t do the work.” How do you see yourself doing the work?
DL: Just speaking out. I’m not afraid to talk about the fact that women get paid less than men in the United States and how unfair that is. Talking about it at all is doing the work. And I think every woman does her part in some way. But I think in certain situations, certain people could be doing more if they’re going to claim that as part of their brand. To be honest, and this will probably get me in trouble, I don’t see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It’s kind of this false image of what people should look like. And what they should be like, and it’s not real.
GLAMOUR: Well, there are many kinds of “normal” bodies. I think what you’re getting at is there’s just one type of body in that squad.
DL: It’s not realistic. And I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that’s not women’s empowerment. We all do things that aren’t, but I have to ask myself, Am I content with calling myself a feminist? Yes, because I speak out.
Let’s look at this. The first huge thing being overlooked is her speaking out on an important topic like feminism in the first place!
“Every woman does her part in some way. But I think in certain situations certain people should be doing more.” All I’m seeing here is a true statement, overlooked in pursuit of petty drama. The first sentence could even be implied in Taylor’s favor if you absolutely must read into it specifically!
“anybody in any sort of squad” It seems pretty general to me. Granted, a small Taylor Swift implication is definitely in there and I have a bit of an issue with the wording, but I believe she meant well.
She has a valid point about Bad Blood. (As much as it makes me uneasy to agree with that. Sometimes, girls go against each other. Taylor wrote about it, as she does with other life experiences.) “We all do things that aren’t” Hey, look! It’s something else to Taylor’s credit that gets ignored by all media!
In context, it’s not really so horrible!
I didn’t know that speaking your mind was a sin! It’s one of my very favorite things about Demi, and something I truly look up to her for because, quite often, I’m anxious about saying anything at all. All that happens because of it, is her getting brutally torn to shreds by people that don’t understand how AMAZING this quality is! SHE. DESERVES. NONE. OF. IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Context is important. After this incident, I’m a bit more concerned about media’s misquoting and the damage it may bring. I know it must happen a lot. I too am guilty of making assumptions and forming opinions based on celebrity quotes. But, do these quotes have a fair chance of being completely accurate? Yes! Should they be completly accurate and reliable? Yes!!

Good point. I happen to care about your interviews because I love you and love to hear from you Demi, but that’s not always the case. It makes sense if you read the interviews as a fan, and/or to playfully distract yourself from your “shit to worry about” , it’s just another whole thing to be deliberately mean about the interviews.

Demi announced a break from the spotlight in 2017. It’s a smidge upsetting to fans and Lovatics, but it definitely looks like it’s necessary! True fans (especially true Lovatics, we’ve been pretty through it!) understand that an artist’s health and happiness comes before their career, and that may mean a hiatus, even if it means we suffer by not seeing and hearing from our fave (s).

The break itself isn’t the worst part. Nope, that itself may suck, but it’s not what make me cry and feel really horrible because I really love her and care about her. (Does this love go beyond fandom? I think so. It’s deep, she feels like my actual friend/family.) This Instagram reply and its meaning is what caused that! What’s happened here, is probably one of the saddest things to happen to Demi/Lovatics since the end of 2010 and all of the great (sarcasm!!) things that happened then!

As if Taylor wasn’t being unfairly tormented on the internet enough from last week’s incident with ex boyfriend Calvin Harris. In case you missed it, he bitterly tweeted about Taylor and her team after People magazine wrote an article confirming that Taylor had written Calvin and Rhianna’s collaboration This Is What You Came For under a pseudonym, and used Calvin’s quote stating he couldn’t see a collaboration with Taylor happening.
I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do
A) All her team did was reveal that Taylor wrote the song, People wrote the article (specifically Melody Chiu)
B) They are using an accurate quote that Calvin himself said. He’s making himself look bad if anything.

Fast forward to last night. (July 17)
Remember Kanye’s recent controversial rap Famous containing the lyrics “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous,” and how she expressed her disapproval of the misogynistic lyric, including an indirect reference to the song in a VMA speech, turning her response into encouragement.
Kanye argued that she had given her approval of the rap, and last night on Snapchat, Kim Kadashian released video evidence, breaking both the internet and, pretty much everyone taking part in the trending topic #KimExposedTaylorParty ‘s sense of judgement.
However, what this (RECORDED WITHOUT PERMISSION, EDITED, PUT OUT IN THE WORLD FOR ATTENTION AND UNNECESSARY DRAMA) video failed to include was Taylor giving permission to include the whole lyric. She didn’t know the second part of it, as she points out in her response.

A disgusting amount of people (encouraged by the media’s common portrayal of Taylor as a serial dater, her feud with Katy Perry, and both incidents with Kanye) have acquired this sick vision of Taylor as an attention and money hungry villain, who’s kindness, humbleness, and accumulation of a powerful girl squad is all an act.

Soccer Aid 2016 was played in England and raised over £5,391,398 for UNICEF to help save the lives of children in need. I’m proud to support such caring and giving guys! Plus an excuse to see them in suits? Sign me up!
Louis played for the England side, the team sporting red/gray-and-white, along with fellow British singer Olly Murs. (An opener for One Direction’s first tour the Up All Night tour. Throwback!) Niall played for the rest-of-the-world side, the team sporting blue and white.

What is in that Carribian St. Barts water and celebrity couples? Seriously, these all occurred in the same place, around the same time! I guess they wanted to get some wintertime warmness.
First, Harry Styles and Kendall Jenner were spotted together on a yacht getting affectionate and cuddly. A source also says that the two were spotted out for dinner.
Do I ship it?: They may be on a yacht, but I have to say that no, I don’t ship it.
My take: First off, I’m not too fond of the Kardashian clan in general. (I don’t get a lot of the hype) Yes, Kendall’s a model and on a reality show and all, but Harry can definitely do better! Second off, it looks like Harry waited a while longer then usual before obtaining his December girlfriend this year! It’s just a funny thing that he dates around the same time every year and it never seems to last very long.. hmmm *cough* management covering up his sexuality *cough*. I’ve seen reports saying Kendall may be gay as well and if this is true, the pair may be using each other for a beard. To me, Hendall seems to have PR STUNT written all over them, and are as fake as Kylie Jenner’s lips. But, I hope they manage to get in some fun (and sun!) while they’re at it!
Next, we have another case of a male singer + model. It appears that Justin Bieber is finally getting serious after his split with Selena. Last week, Bieber posted Instagram pics of PDA and partying with model Hailey Baldwin. The two had previously had a friendship and had been further acquainted by hanging out with Kendall Jenner.
Do I ship it?: Yes.
My take: Cute! I love how the photo looks they’re kissing while dancing. \I’m kind of glad Justin’s moving on from the toxic limbo that was his relationship with Selena Gomez. MESSY! I also saw an Instagram comment on the second photo, that says they resemble Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan and I totally love the comparison! Hopefully, the ending turns out better for them though!
Last, they aren’t a new couple, but they were being super precious in the same area! Demi Lovato and her boyfriend Wilmer Valderamma also seemed to be getting warm for the winter in the Carribian last month! For years, Demi kept the relationship as private as possible, but look how high her comfort level is now!! 🙂

My Take: ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ These are my parents guys, I don’t think I’ve introduced them together. (Not literally, I’m such Demi/Dilmer loving trash that I call them that) They’re so goofy and cute!! They are also RELATIONSHIP GOALS AF!!!!! I need a boyfriend to hold me on the beach like that!!! I’m in LOVE with their love and it’s precioussss!!!
